Part 3 (Retail Pro 9) - Configuring Retail Pro and Testing

In Retail Pro 9: these instructions apply to new configurations – if the store already was using Global Payments/Genius, it is better to leave their existing settings alone and ONLY update the IP address of the new Genius pin pad in WS Preferences.  In addition, these devices come pre-programmed from Global Payments to work at specific stores, so they cannot simply be swapped around from store to store.  In order to make one work for another store, the retailer needs to work with Global Payments Support directly to get it changed.

1.      Refer to the Retail Pro Site for more information/documentation on setting up and configuring EFT for retailers in the US – documentation is usually under “Cayan”, “Genius” or “Global Payments”
